Hello DPL Coaches & Team Managers,

Please find below a reference guide for DPL match day protocols.  Please reach out to your club’s DOC with any questions.

Home Team Responsibilities:

Contact the Away team 5 days prior to the fixture to inform them of:

• Kit Colors
• Venue Protocols
• Other relevant information including venue address, GPS-friendly instructions, restrooms or snacks on site, etc.

You may use the Team Chat function in GotSport.

Report the score, identify goal scorers and any misconduct cards issued in GotSport within 72 hours of the completion of the match.  The DPL Event PIN is 1234  The match card MUST be uploaded at this time.

Red cards must be reported directly after the match by the HOME team, regardless of which team it was issued to using the reporting form on GotSport. https://system.gotsport.com/forms/171A21957 

Upload the game film to the DPL Veo League Exchange within 72 hours of the completion of the match.  ALL games are to be recorded by the HOME team.  Please reach out to your Club DOC for access.  

Both Teams:

Jersey numbers must be listed on the rosters.

Home and Away teams bring a Photo Match Card AND Match Card to every game.  Take a picture of the MATCH CARD. The match card has both home and away rosters listed, versus the photo match card, which just has the headshots of your team. 

It is mandatory to use the DPL Substitution Pass for every match played.  Your club’s DOC will provide this to you.

Write-Ins of Players/Staff.  The DPL does not permit write-ins of players or staff.  This can result in a forfeit of the match and a $500 fine. Prior approval from the Commissioner is required for write-ins. Use the form to request prior approval OR to report an unauthorized player/staff write-in.  The Commissioner will respond to this request by Friday 5 PM EST.  https://system.gotsport.com/forms/76019435G

Roster Size For the U13-U19 games, only 18 players from the roster will be eligible to participate in each game, and these players must be placed on the Match Day Roster.  You may cross off players not participating.  We recommend that you build a Match Day Roster in GotSport.

PLAYER GAME LIMITS

Any DPL Registered Player may only play on one (1) DPL team per day and may only play in one (1) DPL Competition per day or scheduled DPL match unless approved by the DPL Commissioner. Once players play in a scheduled club fixture, they cannot play in a rescheduled fixture in any other age group.
